Claudia Nicolae

Claudia Victoria Nicolae is the Managing Director of AGERPRES, the Romanian National News Agency, since November 2018.

Her mission is to manage the entire activity of the journalists and editors of the biggest news agency in Romania, while also being their representative in relations and collaboration with other national and international organizations, both public or private.

Claudia Nicolae’s objective is to create and to preserve the framework the journalists from AGERPRES need to deliver accurate news so that the general public receives the most reliable and meaningful information possible.

Claudia Nicolae has a degree in Journalism, but she is specialized, as well, in foreign policies, diplomacy, security and administration, with various training sessions graduated from The Romanian Diplomatic Institute or the National Defense College.

In a world where information has become both a weapon and a rescue tool, keeping an objective news story without traces of misinformation represents the main challenge of journalists.

Thus, the phenomenon of misinformation and manipulation în onlinespace, which has gained momentum recently, is one of the topics that Claudia Nicolae has developed and presented in countless conferences regarding the threats and challenges encountered in cyber space, as a speaker and panelist.
