Grace Labong Achire

The CEO of Vantage Communications Groups, a PR and Marketing Communication agency in sub saharan Africa. I am also the Regional Business Development Partner for Arxia ( A Romanian IT consulting firm). I like to think of myself as a serial entrepreneur with a long list of ideas that never saw their first birthdays over the 20 years I have been in business. The experiences however produced a wealth of learnings that have kept pushing me forward with the few ideas that worked. The leanings equipped me with useful skills to distill ideas from ambiguous and challenging scenarios for organizational and enterprise development. My areas of special focus have been in creativity and ideation, business optimisation, leadership, stakeholders management, market intelligence and brand communications. That is how I stumbled into the digital space, the frustration of failing and trying and failing led me into the tech space.
With no tech background, relying on the Masters in Communication Science from Universita dela Svizzera( (Switzerland), and an MBA; my introduction into the digital space has been hilarious, with no role model, I drew from my failures and networks. As an African woman entrepreneur joining the male dominated Digital space, the journey has largely been uphill yet optimistic with confusing possibilities that are often overwhelming. My desire is to see a large community of accomplished women in tech and leadership lifting other women to join this exclusive club of Tech.
I love to read, from science fiction to alphas, werewolves, inspirational books, biographies, and space intrigues me. A mother of young adults who keeps me on my toes on the flood of new digital trends. My life is never dull. I guess I can claim that I’m a certified tech-prenuer.
